The Practical Boxing program at LHA is aimed at building a strong foundation in the art and science of Boxing to excel in the sport or as a supplement to other combat sports. It reflects the experience of professional boxing, incorporating physical conditioning and technical training in the physical (i.e. punching, footwork, evasions) and mental (i.e. critical thinking skills, situational assessment) aspects. This program is contact-intensive involving a blend of solo and partnered practice and is run with safety and respect at its core- incorporating protective equipment, while upholding good sportsmanship and camaraderie. |
